UCA fiji national conference FB page
In acknowledging Fijian involvement in Australian church history, it was in 1929 that one of the first Fijian missionaries, Rev Paula Seru and wife Nanise commenced work amongst the Yolngu of Arnem Land in the Northern Territory, in a foreign land, language and culture.
It was nearly 100 years later that their descendants visited Milingimbi again to strengthen this relationship in 2019. Paula Seru was from Yawe, Kadavu. As we remember the sacrifice by our forefathers, we glorify our God for his faithfulness and protection. We remember and praise God as we look forward to our conference in September with our theme to ‘ Remember our past to shape our Future.’ Or in Fijian, ‘Meda raica lesu nodai lakolako ka bulia vinaka noda vei mataka.’ Praise God for His faithfulness.
