Melanesia is One is a movement of Melanesian human consciousness regarding the identity and integrity of all of us Melanesians on this planet Earth, and particularly across the Melanesian archipelago: Raja - Ampat Islands of West Papua to Wallis-Futuna Islands on the eastern part of Melanesia.
This blog is updated on regular basis by Wewo Kotokay, the Melanesian Conservation Elder, based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea with personal passion of promoting the "self-identity" of Melanesian peoples as ONE.
I am personally dreaming of "ONE MELANESIA", where
- There is no borders and sovereignty issues between all countries in Melanesia, where all Melanesian peoples become One Nation-state, under the name of "United Tribes of Melanesia" or other names agreed by all Melanesian tribes.
- There is no more names given or imprinted by colonial powers being used as our national identity, or personal identity: I am not Papua New Guinean, but I am Melanesia; I am not ni-Vanuatu, but I am Melanesian, I am not Fijian but I am Melanesian, and so on.
- There is an awareness and a movement and a reality of ONE UNITED Melanesia.
This is a holy call, a case dedicated to our ancestors, the Creator and our future generations, serving the needs and will of the past and future.
