IN TODAY HISTORY OF AFRICA DO YOU KNOW THAT AFRICA IS A NAME GIVEN TO US BY OUR FOREIGN MASTERS? DO YOU KNOW OUR ORIGINAL NAME BEFORE THE COMING OF WHITE MAN IN AFRICA?

Listen carefully before the coming of our colonial masters our ancestors is known by Alkebulanies (or Alkebu-lan) is proposed as the original, indigenous name for the African continent by some scholars and historians. It is said to mean mother of mankind or garden of Eden The name Africa, however, is believed to have originated from Roman or Phoenician roots, with possible links to terms like Afri, Afer, or Aprica, meaning sunny or without cold.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Alkebulan:
This term is believed to be derived from the ancient languages spoken by indigenous African populations, including the Moors, Nubians, and Ethiopians.

Mother of mankind or Garden of Eden.
The name Alkebulan is often interpreted to carry these symbolic meanings, reflecting the continent's significance in human origins and early history.

Africa:
The name Africa is thought to have Roman origins, possibly from the tribe Afri or the Latin word aprica. It's also suggested that the Phoenician word afar, meaning dust, might be a root.

The shift:
The shift from Alkebulan to Africa is attributed to the influence of European explorers and colonizers who, in some accounts, sought to erase the continent's indigenous history and identity.

Finally it's necessary for Africans to drop that name and return back to our origins name Alkebulan because that's who we are and it's time we stop accepting any names given to us by our colonial masters after all our original name Alkebulan is more meaningful than the one they give to us.
