The Story of Hornes Man in Mayo-Kebbi region of Chad

In 1934, English researcher Ghost Freeman traveled to Phiang, the Mayo-Kebbi region of Chad, attracted by stories of a man with horns living in a nearby forest.

Winning the trust of the villagers, Freeman discovered NJABIA BâTÉ, a man isolated because of his horns - an inexplicable phenomenon that had caused fear and respect for him. NJABIA BâTÉ, despite his isolation, possessed great wisdom and knowledge about nature and traditional methods of treatment. Freeman documented his finding and published an article that drew the attention of the scientific community.
